Williams Bros Scale WWI Aeroplane Machine Gun, 4 Gun Collection kit, 1/6 Scale, 1 Each
Part # 16504
History: World War One ushered in a new era of weapons, including the aero plane and the machine gun. It was
inevitable that the two would come together, and aerial dog fighting was born. Both the Allies and Central Powers
initially used heavier, water cooled, belt fed, tripod mounted infantry guns with the water jackets cut, or louvered, for airflow cooling,
The lighter weight ‘portable’ guns were also adapted, and generally were used for the rear-seated observers on a flexible mount.
In the 1960’s, the Williams brothers created molds for the 4 guns most widely used, and helped initiate a surge of WWI modeling
in the world of flying models that still exists today! And now, we introduce these wonderful kits as a unique display for history buffs.
